A sock in the gut
I just returned home from North Carolina visiting my mother and family (more on that in a different post), and naturally one of the first things I did was check my email. In my inbox was a note from an ex of mine, and it included pictures of the girl he has just started dating. We split quite awhile ago, and I obviously have since moved on (Or so I thought apparently), but that email just hit hard. I don't know why, as I don't have a problem usually with this sort of thing. One of my exes is dating my best friend and I couldn't be happier for them, another is reuniting with his estranged wife, and again, I am very happy for him. Mind you I did care for both of these guys and others I have dated that I have seen move on, some more so then some, but either way, why did this hit me so hard? All I have to say now is OUCH, that hurt and I don't know why.

Can't be sure, but maybe because you are newly home and recovering? Who needs 'more change', even if it isn't yours? My guess is this is nothing a date won't help.
Glad you are home.
I can think of several reasons, Lizzie. All perfectly normal. I think all of them come down to the feeling that your not 100% satisfied with where your own life is going right now.

I go with the whole CHANGE thing. This is just one more of them. You have had a lot of that. Give your self time.
Hi Sarge. Could it be the pic? It's so impersonal! Good thing you got rid of him. He obviously didn't take into consideration your feelings. He didn't need to rock the boat. I agree with the other 3 posts. You should take some time to settle back in, now that you're not in a war zone. Remember, it's okay to feel however you feel. You can always talk to someone at camp (that's what phones are for!) You take good care of your wrist and the rest of you! :) Talk to ya later.
